Son Of A Legacy – The Voice Of Now – Viiaa Boss

Sony Of A Legacy – The Voice Of Now

Viia Boss was never just going to be another artiste. He was born into legacy.

Son of a star from “The Wailers”, son of a legacy — his bloodline carries one of the most iconic guitars to ever come out of Jamaica. Family Man’s child, Wailers legacy in his DNA. But Viia Boss didn’t come to live in the past. He came to bring the past forward.

That is the journey. From WolfPak to world.

As a core voice of ” WolfPak”— the Mona pack behind “Bad Man Summer” and “24 Bouncing” with Beenie Man — Viia learned the streets. But his mission was bigger than street anthems.

“Is Viia Boss Reggae or is he Dancehall? I’m the bridge. I’m the gap. I was influenced by the ones around me. But Reggae is always going to be a part of me because of my lineage.”

That lineage is not just musical, it’s spiritual.

“Through and through I’m Rasta. That’s all I knew and know growing up. All I know is Jah and his kindness.”

This is why his modern style hits different. Viia Boss has what the youth call sauce, but with substance. He is a chameleon — morphing into what the youth are saying, using their slang, their trap-infused rhyme schemes, their TikTok deliveries — while still giving them direction. He understands the legacy where he is from, and where he has to go.

“The music was never really the issue. The issue was the industry and knowing the nuances. Learning the actual studio codes and having my work being seen as a professional. I’m now reaping benefits like a puzzle coming together.”

That puzzle is now complete. From WolfPak’s trenches to understanding IP, publishing and professional placement, Viia has done the work most skip.

And now, the bridge meets the apex.

His new single with “Bugle” is the full-circle moment. Bugle, who is in his APEX era — fresh off collaborations with Buju Banton, Damian Marley and Maxi Priest — does not link without purpose. A son of The Wailers legacy linking with one of reggae’s most respected modern generals.

Legacy meets legacy. Past meets present. And the youth get the message in a language they understand.

He has come from a Wailers household to a WolfPak pack. He is going from Mona to the world. And he’s carrying the guitar, the livity, and the future with him.
