Urban Vine Media Presents “Art & Art” — An Evening of Poetry and Music at Cafe Rosa

KINGSTON, Jamaica — July 8, 2026 — Urban Vine Media, in association with Push A Yute Inc., is set to stage Art & Art: An Evening of Poetry and Music on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Cafe Rosa, 1 Grosvenor Terrace. The intimate showcase will bring together some of the island’s most compelling underground artistes and rising reggae sensations for one unforgettable night of word, sound, and power.

Art & Art is a celebration of Jamaican creative expression in its rawest and most authentic form — where spoken word meets live music and the underground takes centre stage. The evening’s lineup features a dynamic cross-section of performers, including Dahvid Slur, Simone FruitTree, Chant, OJ ThaGreat, Lilanie, and Jhoe Speng — voices that represent the next wave of Jamaica’s poetry and reggae movement.

Audiences can expect an evening that moves seamlessly between conscious verse and riddim-driven performance. Spoken word poet Simone FruitTree takes the stage ahead of the highly anticipated release of her newest single, “Kweendom,” due out this summer. She is joined by the gritty lyricism of Dahvid Slur, the commanding presence of OJ ThaGreat, poet Lilanie, the soulful stylings of Chant, and reggae artiste Jhoe Speng.

The event was crafted by Vivian Thomas, founder of Urban Vine Media and Push A Yute Ent Inc., a Grammy-nominated producer whose career spans King Jammy’s Studio, European tour management, and work with some of reggae and dancehall’s most defining voices.

“Art & Art is exactly what the name says — art, and more art,” said Thomas. “Too many of our artistes and artisans have the talent but no stage. This event is about creating that space: a room where the spoken word, the rhythms, and the spirit of Jamaican creativity can be seen and celebrated. We intend to keep building spaces like this.”

The event is sponsored by Cafe Rosa, with creative design by MeowMedia Services, and is supported by Write Ah Yaad, the Caribbean writing community connecting poets and storytellers across the region.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as seating at the cosy Grosvenor Terrace venue is limited.
