The 5Yr Burn Out

Welcome to the world of Urbanvine Media. We examine arts, culture & entertainment. We also look at the world that revolves around these industries. Today we’re looking at the “Burn Out”. Or what they call in Entertainment the “The 5yr Burn Out”. This is especially more widely visible in the entertainment sector. Singers, musicians, performers, DJs, engineers, stage practitioners.

There is also a theory behind this. Now first let’s examine what is the actual “burn out”. An artist, artisan goes through years of bettering and mastering his or her craft. The journey the discipline it required to get through the door came with so much. That sacrifice is not one we can readily duplicate everyday. It comes from a special place. Then they make it. They start to receive the notoriety they sought and the fame starts to follow. Now the roller coaster has begun.
Shows, tours, exhibits and all. The hunger/sacrifice that was once applied is now caught in the world of expectations. A world filled with “yes man” & everyone who sees you as a profit. Now you realize you’re nothing more than a commodity.

The space that was used to harness the talent is now clouded. Your time of pure bliss is over. According to many after album number two there is an immediate decline in sales, brand focus, turnover and lack of bi product availability. The magic starts to fade.
Now whether you’re an actor, artist, or simply a content creator. This speaks volumes about the competitive state and all the hoops that one has to jump through. All creatives need inspiration and some point it’s really about who can play the long game and block out the noise.

Now here’s the kicker. Art has always been that. A purist expressing themselves through their art. And art has 7 main principles. So if you’re in the business just to make money, your art can suffer if you can’t curate a balance. If you’re chasing fame, also take note that once something becomes a “chase” you’re gonna need the stamina to keep up.
