SPIRIT INNA ME

It’s all about the music. When Caribbean people together and make music. Its a whole vibe. One that speaks about us as a people.
This vibe when frequencies and cultures meet its like a whole cocktail of spices. Phoenix Journey (Suriname/Dutch) along with Simone Fruittree Dewar (Jamaican) has delivered on one such track. There latest single titled “Spirit In A Me” is exactly that. It’s a rich Caribbean flavored track speaking on spirituality. Not in a heavy over thinking way. Not too introspective. It’s light It’s airy but it’s also direct and shows the common love and feelings as a people we share.
Phoenix leads the way with a high tempo falsetto vibe about people keeping an eye on each other. The big brother syndrome and theory. Simone Fruittree elaborates on the factor that life is a journey and we will encounter these factors. The sonics seem to work together and they found some duality that balanced everything.
