Spragga Benz Announces Release of New Album ENDEAVORS on August 29
Kingston, Jamaica – August 2025 – Legendary dancehall artist Spragga Benz is set to release his highly anticipated new album, ENDEAVORS, on August 29. A powerful and reflective body of work, the project takes listeners on a journey through Spragga’s musical evolution and creative spirit.
Co-produced by LMR Pro Productions and Red Square Productions, ENDEAVORS was recorded over an intense three-day session of nonstop work—a collaborative effort that captures the raw essence of Spragga’s artistry. The result is an album that showcases not only his unmatched lyrical delivery but also his vulnerability, offering an honest and reflective tribute to social awareness, cultural struggles, and the complexities of human relationships.
One of the album’s most poignant tracks, “Shoot Down that Drone” featuring Cocoa Tea, carries special significance. It was Cocoa Tea’s final request before his passing, recorded as a continuation of a song he began from his hospital bed. The collaboration stands as a timeless tribute to one of reggae’s beloved voices.
Other standout contributions come from an impressive lineup of Jamaican greats, including Sizzla Kalonji, Tarrus Riley, Briggy Benz, Bittah Sosicka, and St. Lucia’s upcoming artist Ashley Skerritt. Each artist adds their own unique depth to a record that balances Spragga’s signature presence with collaborative artistry.
ENDEAVORS marks a departure from Spragga’s early hardcore dancehall style, instead leaning into a broader soundscape that emphasizes his artistic versatility and maturity. Known for hits like “Jack It Up,” “She Nuh Ready Yet (Hype Up),” and “Wi Nuh Like” , Spragga has consistently pushed boundaries throughout his career, from dominating the dancehall charts in the 1990s to starring in films such as Shottas and Brooklyn Babylon. His ability to adapt and remain relevant across generations is once again on display.
Leading the project is the single “Best Friend,” a gripping narrative about betrayal, trust, and the complexities of human nature. With its soulful storytelling and emotional weight, the track sets the tone for an album that invites both reflection and enjoyment.
Speaking on ENDEAVORS, Spragga Benz shared:
“This album is a piece of my journey. It’s about truth, growth, and the things we all face—love, loss, awareness, and resilience. It’s not just music—it’s life.”
With its heartfelt lyrics, timeless collaborations, and authentic expression, ENDEAVORS is poised to be hailed as a classic for true reggae and dancehall lovers—and a must-listen for anyone who appreciates the power of music as a force for awareness, healing, and unity.
The album ENDEAVORS will be available on all major streaming platforms worldwide on August 29.
